The House of Biodiversity was reopened as part of the STEIERMARK SCHAU 2023 and can still be experienced by visitors now that it has come to an end.

The new "House of Biodiversity" (in the former Gironcoli Museum) invites you to experience the wonders of natural diversity with many hands-on stations and raises awareness of the important services that intact natural cycles provide for us.

The following interactive stations await you:

• Wolpertinger: Create an animal according to your personal preferences.
  
• Eye butterfly: An iris scan transforms you into a butterfly species.
  
• Sand table: Create a variety of habitats.
  
• The earth in our hands: A movable globe provides information on biodiversity hotspots and environmental degradation.
  
• Research laboratory: Become an insect researcher and identify native beetle species.

The exhibition is freely accessible with admission to Tierwelt Herberstein!

During the winter months, the "House of Biodiversity" is open at weekends & daily in the summer months. We are happy to open the House of Biodiversity for groups, by prior arrangement, and guide them through the diversity of life.
