St. Lorenzen am Wechsel
On the Historic Long Distance Trail Wechselland, the history of the Wechselland region is made accessible on contemporary and innovatively designed display boards at more than 100 HWW stations.
This HWW station is part of the Wechselland Historical Long-Distance Hiking Trail (HWW). More information can be found at www.wechsel-wandern.at. Each HWW station is dedicated to a chapter from the history of Wechselland.
Topic: Overview of military cemeteries
The Wechselland and Joglland regions were a battle zone between German and Soviet soldiers in April/May 1945. A military cemetery was established at Niederwechsel. An overview of the military cemeteries in Wechselland and the surrounding area can be found at this station.
