Educational Trail: Bird Watching Trail

Pöllau

Starting point for the Bird Watching Trail is the "spot by the brook".

Starting from the “Platzerl am Bach” at the starting point of the bird theme trail (next to Retter Reisen), we head west, cross the Safenbach Bridge, and turn left along the asphalt road. Here we encounter the bird theme trail and follow both markers until the fork at the former GH Schrank. From the former GH Schrank, our hike continues on the bird theme trail as well as the white-blue-white marking over the Schönau Gorge. At the exit of the gorge, we come across the signpost red-white-red No. 945 to Pöllau, which we follow until the orientation point Schönau. Upon arrival here, we turn right, following the yellow dot marking, back to the “Platzerl am Bach” at the Safen.
