Climbing gym Hartberg

Hartberg

Climbing is great for balance as a key coordination skill. In addition, spatial orientation skills are trained and climbing is playful strength training for the children.

Indoor climbing, i.e. climbing on artificial climbing walls, is not only used for training, it can be practiced as a lifetime sport into old age, is fun and trains all muscles at the same time. For children and young people, climbing not only promotes the desire and joy of movement, but is also very valuable in terms of health (full-body sport, posture problems) and educationally (learning responsibility, cooperation, problem-solving, self-assessment, decision-making).

The indoor climbing hall in Hartberg (Hartberghalle) is a lead climbing hall. There are no fixed toprope ropes/routes. Top rope climbing is of course possible for "not yet lead climbers"! Ropes that you have brought with you are welcome to be hung up!

Special courses are also offered: climbing courses for beginners/children, supervised climbing for children/youth, climbing courses for beginners/adults, climbing courses for advanced climbers, climbing for seniors, alpine courses for beginners. (for detailed information, please visit the website http://www.senkrecht.at/)

Here are a few facts about the climbing hall and equipment:

• Height: 12 meters
• Climbing surface: approx. 300 m²
• Route length: 9 - 17 meters
• Bouldering: own bouldering area; Wall section adjustable in inclination
• 2 changing rooms with shower and toilet

The hall is looked after by the Austrian Alpine Club/section Hartberg. If you have any further questions, the hall supervisor will be happy to help you.
