The Schlosspark Pöllau has a new highlight !
Numerous sports enthusiasts and interested individuals already tested the block in advance. With the handover and installation of additional grips, the small climbing paradise was officially inaugurated in the presence of the sponsors Marktgemeinde Pöllau, Privatstiftung Sparkasse Pöllau, ÖVP Pöllauer Tal, Junge Schönegger, Alpenverein Pöllau, and Hartberg.
What is bouldering? Bouldering is a form of climbing that occurs without ropes and harnesses at jump-off height. The climbing routes, also known as “boulders,” are usually between three and five meters high and offer a variety of challenges for beginners and advanced climbers.
The new boulder block in Schlosspark Pöllau has been specially designed to provide climbers of all ages and abilities with an exciting and safe recreational experience. With various difficulty levels, there is something for everyone.
The mayor of Marktgemeinde Pöllau, Mr. Josef Pfeifer, emphasized the significance of the new boulder block in his opening speech: “With this new offering, we want to further strengthen Schlosspark Pöllau as a place of encounter and movement. Bouldering promotes not only physical fitness but also creativity.”
In addition to the new boulder block in Pöllau, there are further climbing opportunities in the district of Hartberg-Fürstenfeld.
In Vorau, the Alpenverein operates a bouldering hall that is available to climbers year-round.
In Hartberg, there is also a climbing hall, also operated by the Alpenverein, which offers a variety of climbing routes in all difficulty levels.
