Small climbing paradise in Pöllau Castle Park Pöllau

The Schlosspark Pöllau has a new highlight !

Numerous sports enthusiasts and interested parties have already tested the block in advance. The small climbing paradise was officially inaugurated with the handover and installation of additional holds in the presence of the sponsors Marktgemeinde Pöllau, Privatstiftung Sparkasse Pöllau, ÖVP Pöllauer Tal, Junge Schönegger, Alpenverein Pöllau and Hartberg. What is bouldering? Bouldering is a form of climbing that involves climbing at jump height without a rope or harness.

The climbing routes, also known as ‘boulders’, are usually between three and five metres high and offer a variety of challenges for beginners and advanced climbers. The new bouldering block in Schlosspark Pöllau has been specially designed to offer climbers of all ages and abilities an exciting and safe leisure experience. With different levels of difficulty, there is something for everyone. The mayor of the market town of Pöllau, Mr Josef Pfeifer, emphasised the importance of the new bouldering block in his opening speech: ‘With this new facility, we want to further strengthen the Schlosspark Pöllau as a place for people to meet and exercise. Bouldering not only promotes physical fitness, but also creativity.’
