A jewel of nature: Meadows Pöllauberg
Pöllau
The colourful meadow landscape sits next to the hiking route between Pöllau and Pöllauberg.
The hike takes us across fields and meadows as well as through semi-natural mixed oak-hornbeam forests. The Goldsberg area is particularly colorful: the meadow here is still traditionally farmed.
This is reflected in the abundance of flowers - daisies, bluebells, red clover and numerous grasses come into bloom in May and butterflies, grasshoppers and dipterans, such as hoverflies, are also represented by many species.
