Draft Horse Meeting
on Whit Monday

Every year, horse enthusiasts gather at the festival meadow by the Gasthof Hofbauer in Breitenau am Hochlantsch to celebrate the tradition and culture of carriage driving and woodlogging. Around three thousand visitors cheer for the drivers. A total of almost 60 teams of different horse breeds and formations are presented. Afterwards, there is a festive parade through the village and a cozy, culinary, and sociable day.

The supporting program:

9:00 AM Meeting point for the teams at Gasthof Hofbauer in St. Jakob
followed by the festive parade through the village
10:00 AM Start of the "Wood Logging CUP Austria"
1:00 PM Presentation of the teams and wood haulers at the festival meadow, followed by continued CUP
approximately 4:30 PM Award ceremony and a cozy conclusion with music

Admission is a voluntary donation

The day will be filled with culinary delights from local producers and inns, as well as music. A large raffle with valuable prizes rounds off the program.
