Commissioner Gaetano spends the holidays together with his brother Aniello and his niece Carla
at his father's estate in the Campania hinterland –

until Good Friday when Gaetano's new colleague Beppa Bellucci calls:

A dead man has washed up in the harbor. Reluctantly, Gaetano interrupts his break
to assist the fisherman's daughter in her first case. The investigations lead Gaetano and his team from the noble
neighborhood of Chiaia through the picturesque slopes of the upscale Vomero to the bustling fishing port of Mergellina,
where tradition and modernity vie for dominance
