The 1930s and 1940s of the 20th century were among the worst phases in history for which humanity has ever had to answer. Yet still - or perhaps because of that - the music from this era simply radiates passion and positive energy.
Therefore, The Cover Girls invite the audience this evening on a journey through the world of swing jazz, because perhaps a little change is good even in the current state of the world. In their current program, the musical narrative of the Cover Girls stretches back to the time after World War II, when two great powers, the USA and the Soviet Union, fought for their place in the sun in the veiled twilight of history. In the midst of it all: the fictional British secret agent James Bond.
In "Licence to Swing," the Cover Girls dedicate themselves to the numerous unforgettable pieces of music that the Bond series has gifted us.
