When Global Kryner presented their first CD in 2004, the band made waves with a simple yet brilliant idea: The legendary Oberkrainer sound of Slavko Avsenik was combined with international hits, jazz, and a healthy dose of playful spirit. This was followed by numerous radio and television appearances as well as hundreds of concerts across Europe and beyond. After several intense years of touring, the band bid farewell to the stage in 2013. However, the enthusiasm for their shared musical concept remained.
Now the Global Kryner are returning with the new program "2nd Love." Around music cabaret artist and clarinetist Christof Spörk, as well as accordionist Anton Sauprügl, the band has reformed. Joining them are Martin Temmel on trombone, jazz trumpeter Markus Pechmann, singer Miriam Kulmer, and guitarist and songwriter Andreas Haidecker. The comeback is much more than a repetition of past successes. In addition to new, surprising "Verkrynerungen" of well-known songs, the band will also present their own specially composed pieces for the first time. "2nd Love" stands for virtuosic music, fine humor, great joy of playing, and a second love that sounds at least as passionate as the first.
