Concert Reading: Dr. Sarah Straub

Sa., 26.06.2027 from 19:00 o'clock

Songwriter and psychologist Dr. Sarah Straub presents her new book "Courage to Live Despite Dementia" at a very special concert reading in the Weizer Kunsthaus.

In her new book "Courage to Live Despite Dementia," Sarah Straub shares touching encounters with people affected by dementia. The dementia expert now brings these stories to the stage – in a live program that touches, informs, and educates.
With great sensitivity, the author and songwriter, a sought-after guest on radio and television shows for years, connects scientific findings about dementia with music that resonates deeply during her concert readings.

For years, Sarah Straub has stood with her name for a courageous perspective in dealing with the burdensome disease, which she credibly and entertainingly places at the center of society with expertise - and with a provocative lightness that often makes the guests at her events sit up and take notice.

For two years, Sarah Straub filled venues across Germany with her first book "How My Grandmother Lost Her I." In her new program "Courageous Life Despite Dementia," she builds on that success and encourages her audience to approach the topic of dementia with a positive outlook. Because the doctorate-holding diploma psychologist wholeheartedly believes in a good life with the disease when it is supported by solidarity, cohesion, and love for one another.

In this way, an appearance by Sarah Straub is always also a practical guide when it comes to lovingly accompanying people suffering from dementia during this challenging time and rediscovering them. Nevertheless, dealing with dementia requires courage. Sarah Straub conveys this in 90 minutes on stage in a truly magical manner.
