BBK is the abbreviation for Big Band Kulmination and represents the band name of a big band that has its roots around
the eastern Styrian Kulm.

The idea to found a big band in the Kulm area and surroundings comes from the big band leader Fredi Lang, who represents a kind of personal union of conductor, improvisational trumpeter, musical final competence, and vice chairman with an interbigband mediation task in the context of interpersonal conflict potentials and conflict hotspots while searching for new pieces of music and their alignment with the tastes of the big band members. The special thing about this big band: It has not only musically grown together but has become a real musical family. Since the year 2004, the Bigband Kulmination has been interpreting the pieces with great passion and dedication.
