ART MACHINE Presentation 12

Saturday, October 31, 11:00 a.m. at the main square in Pöllau at the Art Machine

For this second issue in 2026, we asked artists from this summer's workshops to return to Pöllau with their series of miniatures. Seven of them have taken on the challenge of implementing artistic concepts in the small format of a cigarette box. Without any content guidelines, series of works have emerged that deal with the themes of sustainability, recycling, and threatened diversity in nature.

Julia Bauernfeind draws attention to the dwindling biodiversity with her portraits of songbirds.
Eva Itzlinger has a proposal for reducing plastic waste, with an eye for aesthetics and a wink.
Lym Moreno discovers possibilities for new works in the remnants of her paper works.
Helga Piffl finds new design opportunities when she recycles her leftover paint.
Michael Roher has arranged various existing works into concertina books for the pocket, serving as an analog counterpoint to various digital photo and video platforms.
Eftichia Schlamadinger has captured color impressions from the Pöllau Castle Park from this summer in floral motifs.
Klaus Dieter Zimmer has transferred a series of images with watercolor on torn paper into the Art Machine format.
Styrian Summer Art chairwoman Michaela Zingerle will introduce the artists and their works.
The Pöllau singer Martina Hirt will accompany the presentation with selected songs.
In case of bad weather, the event will take place in the 12er Haus (School Square 12).
