The city hotel "Zur Goldenen Krone," built in 1814 and reopened in 2014, is located in the heart of Eastern Styria in the old town of Weiz. It offers an ideal place for business travelers, art and culture enthusiasts, or short vacationers.
Due to its central location, all important sites in Weiz are within walking distance for our guests. The old town surrounding the Tabor, the Weiz City Museum, or the Basilica on the Weizberg invite you for a historical stroll.
The city hotel is an ideal starting point for visiting the numerous events at the nearby Kunsthaus or the many festivals in and around Weiz. Both the picturesque regions of Eastern Styria and the state capital Graz can be easily reached by bike, car, or public transport due to the good connections.
Our 10 single and 15 double rooms are equipped with TV (including international channels, such as Italian or Indian), free Wi-Fi, telephone, safe, air conditioning, tea station, desk with seating area, hairdryer in the bathroom, and large, comfortable beds. All double rooms can also be provided with two separate single beds upon request.
Our hotel carries the ADFC Bett+Bike Certificate and thus meets the quality standards for bicycle-friendly accommodations.
