Take the bends, feel the freedom, enjoy life on the road - motorcyclists love the Gaberl Pass Road in the Mur Valley. And the Gaberl Pass Road loves its motorcyclists. For "I bin a Murtalerin", she told us why that is.

The Gaberl Pass road in the east of the Mur Valley is quiet and green. Together with the Packer Straße, it offers the shortest connection to the provincial capital of Graz via the Stubalpe. The Lippizaner horses spend warm summer days on the Gaberl, hikers enjoy the dignified area to take a leisurely stroll and admire the wind turbines.

As a central hub for motorsport, the Mur Valley is the ideal starting point for many long motorbike and classic car tours. Serpentines at 1,551 metres make bikers' hearts beat faster. A large car park in front of the Gaberlhaus invites you to rest and enjoy.

The Gaberl Pass Road tells....

Erlebnisregion Murtal: "What connects you to the Murtal?"
Gaberl Passstraße: "I simply connect the Murtal with the Graz region. That's a really important task."

Erlebnisregion Murtal: "When do you feel your heart beating in the Murtal?"
Gaberl Pass Road: "When bikers really get into the bends and feel the freedom."

Erlebnisregion Murtal: "Where is your favourite place in the Murtal?"
Gaberl Pass Road: "It's beautiful at the top of the Stubalpe. I enjoy it there just as much as the Lipizzaner horses."
