This year, the Red Bull Ring will host an App Run event for the first time. The running course starts directly on the start-finish straight, where the Formula 1 heroes also start the race. Afterwards, the run takes place around the beautiful GP area. Information on registration and the course at Spielberg can be found at www.redbullring.com/de/wflrun.

Running for those who can't.

The biggest running event in the world once again moves the masses. This year, for the first time, there is the opportunity to do good by running around the Red Bull Ring. Whether beginner, professional or wheelchair user, everyone is a finisher and has only one goal: to make paraplegia curable. The race starts at 1 p.m. sharp directly on the start-finish straight of the Formula 1 circuit, followed by a 4.6 kilometer run around the GP area until all participants have been caught up by the virtual catcher car.

With app and two lab stations against the Catcher Car

The participation fee of 25 euros will be donated in full to spinal cord research. There are already 48 App Run events planned throughout Austria and more will be added by 5 May. All participants are connected to the worldwide starting field and all results are included in the global ranking. The virtual Catcher Car takes up the chase 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and constantly increases its speed. Two refreshment stations will supply the heroes of the Wings for Life World Run 2024 at Spielberg and support them in their fight against the Catcher Car. Caught-up runners receive an app signal and have thus arrived at their own personal finish line.
