A beautiful and rewarding high-alpine descent
From the parking lot, follow the trail to the forest ranger station, cross the stream via the ski touring bridge, and continue on the forest road into the Weißgulling valley, keeping the Ertelberger Wiese on your right as you head toward the Saubichl. Climb up a steep meadow toward the huts at the Saubichl. From here, ascend westward for a long stretch (which can be challenging depending on conditions) until you reach the large southeast cirque below the summit. Cross directly through it to the summit. The descent follows the same route as the ascent, though alternative routes are possible.
