Hiking Above the Bosruck Tunnel
This easy hike runs along the top of the Bosruck Tunnel and offers views from Pürgschachen into the Enns Valley.

From Ardning, the trail first heads uphill as we cross the Bosruck Tunnel. At the foot of the mountain, we hike to Pürgschachen, where we descend a fairly steep slope. The return trip to Ardning is on flat terrain. This hike can also be combined with a visit to the Pürgschachen Moor.
Sturdy hiking boots or good trekking shoes,
hiking backpack,
water bottle,
first-aid kit (including blister bandages),
hiking map and smartphone,
snacks,
sunglasses,
sunscreen.
You should also be well-prepared for changeable weather.
Packing your backpack correctly makes things much easier: Pack heavy items first. Your water bottle should always be within easy reach in a side pocket. Items you’ll need frequently—such as sunglasses, your smartphone, or your hiking map—should go on top.
