At the winter parking lot, you leave your vehicle, unless you have already arrived directly in Ardning by train. Now you follow the signs to Hollingalm and Moaralm, first along the slope, then steeply ascending into the forest. The forest road now winds through the idyllic forest, higher and higher. Sometimes the old giant trees offer wide views. At an unmistakable crossroads, the path now either turns sharply right towards Moaralm and Ardning Alm or continues toward Hollingalm. We choose Moaralm and make our way ever higher. Over the Rossfeldboden, we now reach the forest road "from above" and stroll past Igelsfeldalm to Ardning Alm. There, the hut snack awaits! From then on, it’s just downhill back to Ardning.

Sturdy hiking boots or good trekking shoes, hiking backpack, water bottle, first aid kit including blister plasters, hiking map and smartphone, snacks, sunglasses, sunscreen. You should also be well prepared for changing weather. Packing your backpack correctly makes many things easier: pack heavy items first.
