The Lassing high valley is nestled between the Styrian Enns Valley and the Palten Valley. In summer, the village invites you to go on beautiful hikes as well as mountain and bicycle tours. The Mitterbergrunde leads mostly on quiet forest paths around the Mitterberg. It runs mostly through woodland with wonderful views.

The Mitterbergrunde leads around the Mitterberg on quiet forest paths for about 10 km. The route runs mostly through woodland, but there are also wonderful views of Lassing, Liezen and in the direction of Admont. This is a pure hiking tour, which is suitable for all ages. We start at the lakeside restaurant at the Lassing bathing lake. From here, follow the well-marked hiking trail "Mitterbergrunde Nr.1".

After the roundabout in Liezen, this leads into the B320 Ennstal Bundesstraße in the direction of Schladming!

At the 2nd crossroads before the shopping centre turn left towards Lassing.

In Lassing you can't miss the Seerestaurant with the Lassinger Badesee.

We start at the lakeside restaurant at the Lassing bathing lake. From here follow the well-marked hiking trail "Mitterbergrunde Nr.1".

At the beginning, the quiet country road leads us through the district of Neusiedl. We follow the road uphill until shortly before the Mitterberghütte where we follow the signs to the right into the forest. On quiet forest paths we go around the Mitterberg. The route runs mostly through woodland with wonderful views of Lassing and Liezen.

At the first forest crossroads, you can choose whether to take hiking trail 1A. This is a little shorter and you stay a little higher, both paths lead you to the Jakobskapelle chapel.

After this beautiful resting place we go south downhill through Altlassing. There, follow the signs to the right back to the starting point.

You should also be well prepared for changeable weather.

Packing your backpack correctly makes things much easier:
Pack heavy items first. Your water bottle should always be easily accessible in a side pocket. Everything you need frequently, such as sunglasses, your smartphone, or hiking map, should be packed on top.

The Lassinger Badesee is a very popular destination for young and old. In the large children's area, two water slides, a water mushroom in the bathing lake and a sandpit are available free of charge.
