Packing your backpack correctly makes things much easier: pack heavy items first. Your water bottle should always be easily accessible in a side pocket. Everything you need frequently, such as sunglasses, your smartphone, or hiking map, should be packed on top.

In the Gesäuse you are mobile even without your own car. A call to +43(0)3613/21 000-99 is all it takes: Within the operating hours (daily 08:00 - 20:00) you can get from May to October with the Gesäuse collective cab, vlg. Gseispur, to any destination in the Gesäuse, without any timetable or stops. Even a connection to the train stations Liezen, Selzthal and Kleinreifling is provided. Single trip per person € 9,50
