Mountain bike trail with low gradient at the foot of the Planspitze
The backdrop of this short mountain bike trail in front of the vertical walls of the Gesäuse mountains is impressive.
The trail can also be used as a return route from the Hochscheibenrunde.
The trail is also popular with hikers as an access to the Kummerbrücke, from where the legendary Wasserfallweg leads high up to the Heßhütte. Via stairs and ladders, the hiker overcomes the seemingly impregnable rocks.

A9 Phyrnautobahn to exit Ardning/Admont and from there past Frauenberg, approx. 10 km to Admont. Via the B146 (Gesäuse Bundesstraße) from the west into the Gesäuse.
Or via Leoben, Vordernberg and Eisenerz to Hieflau and from there via B146 in a westerly direction into the Gesäuse.
A1 Westautobahn to exit Ybbs and from there south through Scheibbs, Lunz am See, Göstling an der Ybbs and Palfau to Hieflau. From there, take the B146 in a westerly direction to the Gesäuse.
From Hieflau or Admont take bus line 912 to the Gesäuse Kummerbrücke stop.

We start at the Forstgarten campsite in the middle of the Gesäuse National Park. The trail leads along a gravel road, which may well be soggy after prolonged rain, between rock faces on one side and the Enns on the other to the Kummerbrücke bridge, where we meet the B 146 - Gesäuse federal road again.
