Hinterwildalpen - Lurgg - Pumperlalm - Radstadtmoaralm (eh. Heimmoseralm) - Kl. Buchberg - Hoher Buchberg - same way on the descent or continue to Goss
The Hohe Buchberg (summit is in Landl) is a romantic panoramic mountain with a bench at the summit and the finest summit meadow. You can see very well over the alpine pastures and the Kalten Mauer mountain range, as well as into the Gesäuse. It is easy to chat with each other during the hike, as you are hiking on a high plateau.

More information
Take the road to Hinterwildalpen for approx. 6km, past Gasthaus Zum Krug, turn right immediately afterwards and after 1.1km the hiking trail starts following the road.
At the beginning, there is an asphalt road until it turns into a gravel road and leads into the Lurg. When we reach the end of the valley at the very back of the Lurg, a trail branches off; at first it only shortens the forest road, then it's really steep uphill. Up to the Pumperlhochalm (private) and through the Bärenloch to the former Heimmoseralm. Heimmoseralm 1420 m ~ current Radstadtmoaralm. The alpine meadow leads downhill and uphill again, we are on the Kl. Buchberg and should definitely hike along the alpine plateau to get to the top of the Buchberg 1563 m and up. On sunny days we have a wonderful distant view.
On the descent, with the same route, we have to hike back to the Heimmoseralm / Radstadtmoaralm and find the somewhat tricky terrain edge that leads through the Bärenloch. From the former Heimmoseralm / Radstadtmoaralm we can see the Gr. Geiger to the right and the Lurghöhe to the left. We cross the Bärenloch to the Pumperlhochalm and return to the valley along the forest road in the Lurg. From there wecontinue to the starting point, first along the forest road and then a short stretch along the asphalt road.
As a circular tour, there is an option from the small Buchberg via the Gögalalm to the Goss and a further descent to the Eiblbächlein, along the Samml forest road.
