WHAT MOUNTAINSCHWEIGER STANDS FOR
I don't think much of standardized guiding and mountain tourism! For me, you, with your needs and your experience, are clearly at the forefront, and I try to put together the right program for everyone.
No matter if it's a cozy hike, a challenging multi-pitch route, a ski tour, or ice climbing, what is essential are always the experiences and memories that one gains and through which one grows. The physical and mental threshold of performance varies at different levels for each person; I try to respond as best as possible to you and your wishes to avoid any overwhelming situations.
Gathering experiences plays an even more important role during childhood, which is why one of my goals is to promote work with children and to integrate the experience of "mountain" into their physical development.
Additionally, the aspect of safety is very much in focus for me. The mountains are beautiful, but with wrong planning or behavior, they can quickly turn into a nightmare. As a trained mountain and ski guide and an operations officer in mountain rescue, I am aware of this, and you can rely on me in any situation.
Mountainschweiger stands for the following three words: Experience – Knowledge – Safety

RATES & COSTS RATES FOR YOUR TOUR
The non-binding recommended daily rate is proposed and decided uniformly by the mountain guide association for all of Austria. This is intended to serve as a guideline for both us mountain guides and our guests. For the year 2024/2025, the following non-binding price recommendation for mountain and ski guides has been established: daily rate of € 540.- gross (including any applicable taxes) For groups, the daily rate is increased depending on the size. For more difficult tours, such as climbing routes above the third difficulty level, the daily rate will also be agreed upon separately. Expenses such as travel costs, accommodation, and meal costs are excluded from this price recommendation. The exact price of each tour will be individually agreed upon depending on duration, difficulty, and number of participants.
ADDITIONAL COSTS
- Travel costs (train, car, cable cars, and similar) of the mountain guide are to be borne by the participants.
- The accommodation fees and meals of the mountain guide are also to be borne by the guest.
- The compensation for travel to and from the site will be determined individually by the mountain guide based on the effort required.
Mountain guides are legally obligated to adjust the number of participants to the difficulties of the tour and the skills of the participants. The deployment of additional mountain guides may be required for safety reasons; they receive the same compensation. If a tour is canceled or altered due to bad weather or other reasons, the mountain guide has the right to charge cancellation fees based on his terms and conditions.
