Kunst in Bärenfeichtn
The "Bärenfeichtn" stood by the roadside in Johnsbach near the Griasmoar farm and had to be cut down for safety reasons. The Admont wood sculptor Mizzi Pur has created an artistic reminiscence of forgotten people and animals in the remaining part of the tree. On the 13th of July, in cooperation with the Johnsbach Music Week, the curtain will be lifted.
For millennia, bears lived in Johnsbach. This fact is reflected in place names such as the nearby Bären-graben or the Bärenkar. A medieval farmstead, once located slightly south on the "Perenseiten," has fallen into oblivion. With it, the last peren (bears) disappeared from Johnsbach.
The sculptor Maria Nimmervoll, living in Admont, calls herself Mizzi Pur. Her favorite material is wood: www.mizzipur.com
