“The other day I went to Wackerplatz with Wondrak Lindschi, a super cat. When the match was over, all the boys ran, because Wondrak Lindschi knew everyone.” (from: Glasschermtanz, trad.) These lines clarify the name mystery surrounding wondrak.lindschi and simultaneously introduce the namesake patroness. In 2019, wondrak.lindschi was cast by the Vienna Folk Song Association for the first Vienna Song Women's Meetup, and lo and behold – harmony was present from the very first note. The joy of singing, playing, and especially the Viennese spirit was instantly palpable as well. The formation is young, and their songs remain youthful. The four women bring the Viennese song world music paradise down to earth. But even musical transgressions of the Semmering can be found in their program. In any case, they ensure that all listeners have their time sweetened.
