Georg Breinschmid & Dominik Wagner - Double Bass
The performance "Double Bass x Two" results either in a mathematical solution with the always somewhat oddly looking English word quadruple, or much more exciting and acoustically appealing: Dominik Wagner & Georg Breinschmid – the double bass duo with an extra dose of inventiveness. Even the standard works of the corresponding literature are honored, with Giovanni Bottesini's B minor concerto played in an arrangement for two double basses.
The ECHO Klassik award winner Dominik Wagner is the ideal partner for Georg Breinschmid. Classical music tradition meets refreshing bass riffs. Two deep instruments, which – thanks to the musicians who play them – are nevertheless capable of covering the entire spectrum! The two not only excel at interpreting pre-fabricated and arranged pieces – numerous works further prove that Georg Breinschmid is not only among the most outstanding double bassists of our time but also one of the most innovative composers!
Sometimes less is more – in this case, however, the maximum is extracted from the reduction. Two musicians, two double basses – a whole world of sound!
