About Me
At the age of eight, I started riding my donkey mare Ambrosia. She taught me patience and showed me how important mutual trust and understanding are in dealing with animals – completely without compulsion or violence.
Over the years, I was able to meet and ride many different donkeys, mules, and ponies. At the age of 15, I finally decided to turn my passion into a profession and attended the equine management school in Lambach. I was particularly fascinated by the A-level course "Management and Care," but the traditional path of horse training did not align with my vision.
So I began to seek my own path – from small and large riding stables to animal shelters like Gut Aiderbichl. Ultimately, this journey led me to Rottenmann, where I experienced for the first time that a riding school can truly be run in a horse-friendly way. There, Ambrosia and I found a wonderful home.
I completed training as a riding instructor and trail riding guide, but my fascination with the gentle path of mutual understanding remained. Therefore, I am currently furthering my education with Reinhard Mantler and Wolfgang Hellmair.
My goal is to see horses as partners – and to walk the wonderful path of true friendship together with them.
After 25 years of working with horses, I am happy to share my knowledge and experience with interested horse lovers.
Yours
Nicole Hollnsteiner
