Information
Our "Glöcknerhaus" offers a holiday apartment with space for up to 5 people. The renovated apartment on the upper floor (accessible by stairs!) is very well furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the bedrooms are very quiet with views of the mountains and Gallenstein Castle. A bathroom with a shower (including a built-in bench) awaits you. The toilet is separate. The apartment has a living room with a TV, sofa, and an electric piano (for those who can play) for your entertainment and relaxation.
A large, park-like garden with a plancha grill offers space to play and relax.
The center of St. Gallen is just a few minutes' walk away (approx. 200m). Our two grocery stores (Spar and ADEG) are also within easy walking distance.
The market town of St. Gallen is famous for the Gallenstein Castle Festival, the highlight of the cultural year in St. Gallen. During the last two weeks of August, events are offered every day, and the diverse program attracts many visitors and guests to the Gesäuse region.
Every two years, the "Burning Brass Festival" takes place in the immediate vicinity of the house (50m). During this time, our vacation apartment is very popular with festival-goers. These festival days are not for those seeking peace and quiet...it's a lively place!
The area is a paradise for children, leisure activities, and adventures. The water adventure park in St. Gallen is unique in Austria and a destination for the whole family. It's not a lake or swimming pool, but an adventure park centered around the element of water. The ultimate water experience for young and old!
Water sports (kayaking, rafting, fly fishing, and angling) are also very popular on the nearby rivers (Enns and Salza).
A trip to the village of Gams is highly recommended. While encountering a chamois is rather unlikely, you're more likely to find a small village with friendly inhabitants, a village square with a chapel, and a cozy inn.
In the heart of the Styrian Eisenwurzen Nature and Geopark, you can embark on a journey through time that will take your breath away – a full 250 million years! Absolutely incredible! A visit to the stone ball mill is just one example of how fascinating this subject is – you'd never imagine that stones, their origins, and their formation could fill an entire day.
The Gesäuse region is a true paradise for mountain bikers and hikers. We can provide brochures with the most beautiful hikes and mountain bike tours upon request.
Just a few kilometers away is Admont Abbey, home to the largest monastic library and a museum.

We have moved our life center and moved from the Bregenzerwald to St. Gallen - in the middle of the Gesäuse National Park. Here is our heart and the will for a new beginning. We are Josef Cavegn and Regina Lutz-Cavegn. We both have gastronomic experience and offer our future guests a great vacation apartment in the Glöcknerhaus.
