If home is a place, then our “Hoamat” could hardly be better located. Nestled in the breathtaking Gesäuse National Park and the Styrian Eisenwurzen Nature and Geopark, this is where nature lovers truly feel at home. Only attentive observers will discover the region’s hidden treasures: wild orchids, shimmering blue alpine longhorn beetles, or shaggy lung lichens — taking a closer look is well worth it. Fortunate are those who can stay a little longer in this paradise.
As centrally located as the Hoamat is, the surrounding excursion possibilities are just as diverse. Whether it’s an exciting rafting tour on the Salza or Enns rivers, a canyoning adventure through one of the Gesäuse gorges, or a hike to a summit or alpine plateau — you are always surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
The First Rafter of Europe (Double Room)
Turquoise-blue water, paradise-like gorges, and picturesque rock formations — in this room, you almost feel like you’re sitting in a raft boat. Better yet, it’s cozier and the showers are warmer. The double room includes a small beverage refrigerator and a coffee machine.
The University of Mountaineering (4-Person Apartment)
Every explorer needs a base camp. This holiday apartment is the perfect place to comfortably plan your next adventure. The stove creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, while the creatively mounted climbing ropes and carabiners add a touch of excitement. The apartment also includes a small beverage refrigerator and a coffee machine.
The Last Hammer Lord of the Eisenwurzen (4-Person Apartment)
This is where the fire burns brightest. When the fireplace crackles, dinner fills the room with delicious aromas, and the red wine breathes — that’s when you know you are home. A holiday apartment full of iron and heart. The apartment includes a small beverage refrigerator and a coffee machine.
The Forest (Double Room)
If the outdoors weren’t already so tempting, you might almost put down roots here. Looking out the window, you’ll see beautiful mixed forests framed by the turquoise-blue waters of the Salza and Enns rivers. A room designed for relaxation and deep breaths.
