This varied circular route links the historic mining town of Leoben with the popular destination Der Wilde Berg Mautern and the idyllic Lake Trabocher. The route follows well-maintained cycle paths and quiet roads through the Liesing Valley, offering a variety of landscapes and plenty of places to stop for refreshments.

The cycle tour starts at the main square in Leoben and initially follows the Murradweg cycle path to St Michael. From there, the route continues through the Liesing Valley to Mautern, where you might want to visit the Wilder Berg or stop for a leisurely break. For the return journey, the route follows via Kammern to Lake Trabocher – a popular local recreation area – and on via Hessenberg and St Peter-Freienstein back to Leoben. The circuit combines leisurely cycling with charming natural and cultural landscapes and is particularly suitable for touring bikes and e-bikes.

Mit dem PKW Von Graz kommend auf der A9 Abfahrt St. Michael ob Leoben und auf der S 35 nach Leoben > Richtung Zentrum/Asia SpaVon Wien kommend auf der S 6 nach Bruck an der Mur und Leoben > Richtung Zentrum/Asia Spa

Am Hauptbahnhof Leoben aussteigen und richtung Zentrum gehen (ca. 10 Gehminuten)

An der Haltestelle "Leoben Zentrum" aussteigen und richtung Zentrm gehen (ca. 5 Gehminuten)

Starting from Leoben’s main square, follow the Murradweg R2 cycle route towards Göß and on to St. Michael in Upper Styria. From there, the route follows the R15 through the Liesing Valley to Mautern.
For the return journey, cycle via Kammern in the Liesing Valley to Traboch and on to Lake Traboch. The route then leads via Hessenberg to St Peter-Freienstein, where you rejoin the Eisenstraßen Cycle Route R38. Via Donawitz and the Waasen, you finally return to the main square in Leoben. The entire route is well signposted.
