Information
At our Mugelschutzhaus, you can not only enjoy homemade specialties and take in the view of the region, but you can also sleep comfortably. The shelter is located at an altitude of 1,632 m on the Mugel, the sports mountain of Leoben.
Whether summer or winter: Those who arrive here have certainly earned their warm spot, as driving up is not possible. Depending on the starting point, hikers and mountain bikers will face an elevation gain of between 600 and 1,200 meters before they can settle into their bed in the mountain hut.
There are 40 overnight accommodations in bunk beds available. Breakfast and half-board are possible, and dogs and families are warmly welcome.

Payment for the stay is made directly on-site in cash to the hut hosts.
Members of the Alpine Club and ÖTK receive a price advantage on accommodation rates. If something comes up last minute, we kindly ask for a short cancellation. Then another guest can use the warm bed in the mountains.
