WOLF – Rotkäppchen einmal ganz anders

Once upon a time… Little Red Riding Hood, the grandmother, and of course the wolf. That much is known about the story. However, in “WOLF or Little Red Riding Hood's Gut Decision,” quite a bit is different in the fairytale forest than expected.

Christoph Steiner, actor, word acrobat, and Austrian poetry slam champion 2016, takes the audience on a delightfully unconventional journey through the famous Grimms' fairytale. Together with four musicians, he tells the well-known story in a completely new way – with plenty of humor, wordplay, music, and everything theater has to offer.
For on Little Red Riding Hood's way to her grandmother, there are not only the wolf and plenty of turn-offs. There are also an ambitious crow, a know-it-all narrator, a nearly blind mole, and sympathetic musicians who significantly disrupt the course of the story. And suddenly the question arises: Do you always have to stay on the right path?

The production by Next Liberty Graz has already thrilled its audience far beyond Styria. In 2018, “WOLF” represented Austria at the international Kids Euro Festival in Washington, D.C. and was nominated in the category “Outstanding Music” at STELLA18 – Performance Arts Award for Young Audiences.
Now the path through the fairytale forest leads to Trofaiach: In cooperation with Next Liberty, we bring this special theater piece to the stage – a imaginative, musical, and surprising theater outing for young audiences and all those who would like to experience fairytales from a completely different perspective.
