The open workshop invites you to experience the fascinating art of polishing precious and natural stones up close and to get creative yourself.
Discover the fascinating world of precious and natural stones and experience how an inconspicuous raw stone transforms into a sparkling piece of jewelry.
In the open workshop, precious and natural stone polishers demonstrate traditional polishing techniques and the use of modern tools. Visitors will gain exciting insights into the craft and can watch the professionals at work.
If you want to become active yourself, there’s also an opportunity: Under the guidance of Franz Ritzinger and the Lapidary Company, visitors can polish their own stones and create small pieces of jewelry, keychains, or personal souvenirs.
Additionally, guided tours of the mineral museum are offered. You’ll learn interesting facts about minerals, their formation, and their significance for craftsmanship, technology, and industry.
The entry to the open workshop is free. The tours of the mineral museum are subject to a fee.
