Together with piano, guitar, and bass, Viktor Gernot accompanies himself musically throughout the evening and takes the audience on a journey through more than four decades of show business. He shares stories about the highs and lows of his career, about success and failure, about jazz, musicals, friendship, and the big and small stories of life and love.
The program musically ranges from jazz to traditional pop to Broadway classics. Songs are performed in the original English, in his own translations into High German and dialect, as well as with original compositions. The evening is complemented by pointed introductions, charming impersonations, and a successful mix of romance, irony, and fine humor.
