Discover the unique connection of nativity scene art, regional customs, and mining tradition at the Erzberg during a guided tour of the Eisenerz Nativity Scene Museum.

The Crib Museum Eisenerz invites you on a fascinating journey through the world of crib art. In a historic residential and craftsman's house at Bergmannplatz, visitors can expect an extraordinary collection that goes far beyond the Christmas story and impressively reflects the close connection between faith, craftsmanship, and mining in the region.

On three floors, visitors will discover intricately designed cribs from different eras and styles. Highlights include the impressive miner crib with Erzberg minerals, the panorama crib featuring scenes from public life and local history, as well as a lovingly designed petting crib that particularly invites children to explore and touch. A recreated Erzberg tunnel in the cellar vault connects the Christmas story in a special way with the centuries-old mining tradition of Eisenerz.

The holiday tours take place on Wednesday, July 22, Thursday, August 20, and Thursday, September 10 2026 at 2.30 p.m. at the Crib Museum Eisenerz. Registration is required no later than 2 hours before the start of the tour at +43 3848 5212.
