Irish joie de vivre, pre-Christmas atmosphere, and Styrian hospitality – a tried and tested mix that makes Irish Christmas a special Advent evening for over a decade.
For more than ten years, “Irish Christmas” has been part of the Advent season in Trofaiach. This year, visitors can again expect an atmospheric and diverse evening with lively as well as reflective songs from the Green Isle, Irish drinks, and musical surprise guests.
The evening will be musically shaped by Desmond Doyle & The Volunteers, who have been defining the distinctive character of Irish Christmas for many years.
This time, the special guests are again Hup To The Moon. The folk duo Christoph and Walter from the Voitsberg district presents captivating traditional Irish folk, Scottish songs, sea shanties, as well as their own compositions inspired by Celtic sounds. With Uilleann pipes, guitar, bouzouki, whistles, harmonica, and bodhrán, they take the audience on a varied musical journey.
