The Fit March on the National Holiday invites you to a communal autumn hike through St. Peter-Freienstein, featuring a musical kick-off, a cozy refreshment station, and a sociable conclusion at ESV Kulm.
Being out and about together, enjoying the autumn landscape, and spending the National Day in good company: On Monday, October 26, 2026, the municipality of St. Peter-Freienstein invites you to the traditional Fitmarch on National Day.
The meeting point is the municipality square in St. Peter-Freienstein, where the music association St. Peter-Freienstein will provide a festive start with a square concert at 9.00 a.m. The joint Fitmarch begins at 9.30 a.m.
The hiking route leads from the municipality square towards the roundabout, across from the Grafsiedlung, over the Steinleiten, and further along the forest road to the Freiensteiner Kircherl. There, participants can look forward to a refreshment station hosted by the Kinderfreunde St. Peter-Freienstein, providing a welcome snack along the way.
Afterwards, it continues towards Gmeingrube and along the cycle path to ESV Kulm, where the joint Fitmarch will conclude in a cozy manner.
Mayor Wolfgang Gomar and the cultural committee look forward to many participants who wish to spend the National Day with movement, fresh air, and good company.
