Historical tour of mining with the costume association & miners' association Steierherzen Seegraben and mountain chapel Leoben-Seegraben.
A solemn miners' torchlight procession will commence on Thursday, December 3, 2026, from 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. to kick off the Barbara celebrations in Leoben. The event honors the region's rich mining heritage and prepares for the Feast of St. Barbara.
The traditional costume association and the miners' association Steirerherzen Seegraben invite you to a lively tour that makes the close connection between the city of Leoben and its mining tradition tangible. The procession will be musically accompanied by the Bergkapelle Leoben-Seegraben, whose traditional miners' songs create a festive atmosphere.
