The adventure Radwerk IV invites young explorers on an exciting journey through the world of historical iron production.
Young visitors can expect an exciting journey of discovery at the Radwerk IV adventure. Playfully and age-appropriately, it conveys how ore once became pig iron.
On Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., Radwerk IV at Peter-Tunner-Straße 2, 8794 Vordernberg, will open its doors for curious children and their accompanying adults. Particularly impressive are the water wheel in operation, the steam blower, and the fascinating view from above into the blast furnace.
With child-friendly explanations, Werner Gabler, Helga Papst, and Brigitte Schranz will accompany the young participants on the journey from ore to pig iron, making history and technology come alive in a vivid way.
Important Information: Children under 8 years of age can only participate when accompanied by an adult.
