The "ERLebenspfad Magland" is one of 3 new paths marked along 12 habitats.

On this walk you will pass the following habitats:

Insect hotel and butterfly species incl. bee flower pasture: consists of a bee flower pasture, a butterfly garden and a "5***** Mensch&Natur insect hotel" for a variety of insects, arachnids, amphibians and reptiles.
Natural pond: is a recreational space for people and an important habitat for numerous animal species.
Sand meadow with the "bird watch": is a protected meadow type. The special features of this ER habitat include the white meadow-grass and, from a zoological point of view, the red-legged ground-beetle and the stem weevil.
Orchid meadow with 24 protected species: for nature conservation reasons, the site is shielded from too much public interest and is the subject of discussion here in the wildflower meadow.

The municipality of Unterlamm is characterised by a unique cultural landscape and biodiversity.

There are sufficient parking spaces available in front of the municipal office, near the Raiffeisenbank and also at the village square in the direction of the elementary school.

Well-marked trail from Unterlamm via the natural pond area to Magland and back to the centre of Unterlamm.

Smart backpack packing makes hiking life easier: always question the equipment - what do I really need? Pay attention to a balanced load distribution. Carry heavy items as close to your body as possible. Put things that are needed often - such as sunglasses, camera or hiking map - in the top lid compartment. Take enough liquids with you and stow them in a side pocket for easy access. Don't forget a snack or muesli bar for energy. Don't forget cash!

An emergency kit belongs in every rucksack! First aid kit, mobile phone with fully charged battery, hiking map or GPS device for orientation, small pocket knife.
Protection against heat and cold - it is always advisable to dress according to the "onion system"! Cap, sun cream & sunglasses, thin cap, change of clothes, rain jacket.
A good hiking boot is a perfect companion and should never be missing! Don't forget blister plasters just in case!
If necessary, hiking poles are recommended!
