With great attention to detail, our country house has been revitalized. On a quiet hill in sunny solitary location between Feldbach and Riegersburg, the Sonnenhaus welcomes guests. Surrounded by a spacious fruit orchard, it invites you to arrive. You can expect:

- Swaying in hammocks among the apple trees

We are deeply rooted in the Vulkanland Steiermark region and place great importance on sourcing food from the immediate vicinity. In the old Press', we are happy to serve a breakfast with delicacies from the neighborhood.
Directly from the Sonnenhaus, hiking trails lead to culinary master establishments such as the Vulcano ham factory and the Zotter chocolate experience world. A tour of the Lava Bräu brewery invites you to contemplate the valorization of this region. Along the Vulkanland Route 66, culinary crafts and cultural highlights are closely lined up together.
In the low season, we are happy to offer the Sonnenhaus for small seminars or provide geomantic workshops for a deeper understanding of the surroundings.
Good to know
WLAN is available in the shared common areas of the Sonnenhaus. Due to the thick walls, reception in the holiday apartments is often limited. In the cool season, we provide bathrobes, which we do not supply in the summer months for energy reasons. We have not installed air conditioning in the apartments. The old brick walls insulate and, in conjunction with nighttime ventilation, create a pleasant indoor climate even during the hot summer period.

Together with our team, we, Gabi and Wolfgang Grandl, warmly welcome guests to Sonnenhaus Grandl since August 1999. The country house on Wiedenberg has been in the family for over 160 years and has been revitalized by us with great love for preserving the old building substance. Our long-standing employee Ute is dedicated to taking care of breakfast and accommodation.
