The name Bernhart has always been inextricably linked with Riegersburg in southeastern Styria, and the family history dates back to the 17th century. The family business is thus already run by the 15th and 16th generation.

Deeply rooted, the winery with the excellent Buschenschank sits enthroned on the Hofberg - with a view of the majestic Riegersburg. The varietal range of the winery covers the entire Styrian variety and ranges from quality wines that are easy to enjoy to sophisticated, powerful single-vineyard wines of international level.

In 2005, the Bernhart family took on a new challenge: Seppi Nestelberger, cellar master and son-in-law, and senior partner Ferdinand now also manage the slopes of the Riegersburg castle hill. In the interplay of the unique microclimate and the basalt rock with the typical lime deposits, wines of high density, soft acidity and excellent quality, the castle wine, thrive here.

Guided tour & tasting in the own wine view
In a personally guided tour, you will experience the path from the vine to the bottle up close and can immerse yourself in the fascination of wine with all your senses. In the show vineyard you will get a feeling for real handicraft, in the aroma herb garden you will get to know or smell typical wine bouquets and in the wine cellar we will give you deep insights into our philosophy.
