River landscape Raab in Feldbach
Feldbach
Linger on the banks of the Raab, take a break and let the tranquility of the flowing water take over...
The Raab River Landscape begins at the Franz-Josefs Bridge near the train station in Feldbach and stretches to the Rudolfs Bridge towards the west. As part of flood protection measures, the river landscape was designed holistically, making it experiential and accessible for visitors.
Pure adventure – the locations, the stones, the land formations, the water, flora and fauna. It's referred to as the water experience place with elements of nature, water as a design element to marvel at, see, observe, touch, and feel. River crossings, pathway design, seating areas, riverside space right at the water, a river garden, wave and jumping stones contribute to enhancing the public presence of the river area.
Additionally, a new Raab Island and the observation and event platform at Sigmund-Freud-Platz have been created. The riverside is excellent for picnicking. These impulses are essential for the spatial development, its quality, and its appreciation. The Raab holds extraordinary significance as a local recreation area for the people, the city, the region, and the spa and volcano land of Styria.
