It was created in 1988 following the decree of Charlemagne (Caitulare de villis).

The Herb Garden in the Halbenrain Castle Park

It was laid out in 1988 in accordance with the decree of Charlemagne (Caitulare de villis). The more than 150 different medicinal, useful and spice plants are clearly arranged in 7 different groups according to their effectiveness.

Herb garden tours:

Guided tours of the Halbenrain Herb Garden are offered from the beginning of May to the end of October.

The most interesting dates to visit are around the end of May to mid-July because of the flowering period. The guided tours last about one hour.
