Gölles - Manufactory for fine brandy & fine vinegar

At the Gölles Manufactory, at the foot of the historic Riegersburg, high-quality vinegars and distillates have been produced for over 40 years. For several generations, the Gölles family has tended to their orchards in the Styrian hill country. Only the best and ripest fruits, especially old, almost forgotten fruit varieties, are used for vinegar and high-quality distillate production. For example, Saubirnen, Kriecherl, Hauszwetschken, or Maschansker apples are cultivated and processed at Gölles.

Highlight
The highlight of Gölles production is the Apple Balsamic Vinegar, invented by Alois Gölles in the 1980s. Inspired by his stay in Modena, he developed a balsamic vinegar made from apples, which is now highly regarded in top gastronomy worldwide.

The Experience Tour
During the experience tour, you enter the interactive orchard, Austria's largest vinegar barrel cellar, the distillery, and the sensory tunnel. At the various stations, you will learn interesting facts about the production and storage of the products. Discover everything about the origin of the family business, the people behind it, the management of resources, and the value creation of the products. Of course, the vinegars and distillates can be extensively tasted.

From May 1 to October 31, individual visitors also have the opportunity to participate in a personal guided tour . These take place Fridays at 3:00 PM as well as Saturdays at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
