It is best to plan your journey to Bad Aussee using google.at/maps.

We start at the football stadium in Bad Aussee and follow the street named "Sießreithstraße" until we reach the main road. After passing the main road, we move on in direction of a residential area called "Traxlsiedlung". Passing the  located factory premises we turn to the right, cross below the ropeway for material transport and carry on through the forest to a former tavern called "Almwirt". From then on we have to follow the road "Radlingstraße" eastwards, which was in the past a main transportion route for the salt. At the steep front we turn to the left and on a graveld road through the forest to a hill called "Knoppenberg". We pass the traditional hut "Knödelalm" above and follow the way downwards to Obersdorf. After passing the small village we keep straight on to the settlement in the district "Sonnenalm" with its distinctive houses in form of a triangle and further to "Rödschitz". Above this area we follow to a road called "Kochalmstraße". From then on we turn to the right directly to the centre of Bad Mitterndorf.

Parking is available at the train station in Bad Aussee. From there it is about three minutes to the start of the tour.
