The winery of Petra and Walter Frauwallner is located in the idyllic village of Karbach near Straden. The Frauwallner family works according to the guiding principle "Quality grows in the vineyard". The vines are rooted in the vineyards Buch, Steintal and Stradner Rosenberg. The resulting wines speak a clear, honest language - each variety in its own individual way.

Frauwallner's wines have meanwhile reached the top of Austrian wine culture. Great importance is attached to the work in the vineyard. Manual labor, quality-oriented foliage care and grape selection during harvest are a matter of course for winemaker Walter Frauwallner. In the cellar built in 2008 in the middle of the Buch site, more free space was created for steel tanks and oak barrels. This makes it possible to keep the distances from the vine to processing as short as possible - even during pressing, natural gravity is used instead of pumps. Character is developed here.

Character that is also recognized nationally and internationally. Thus, the Frauwallner Winery can already look forward to the award of Winery of the Year for the third time! By the way: In the Falstaff 2018/19 wine guide, the Sauvignon Privat 2015 was named the best alternative wine in Austria.
