The Windische Bühel / Slovenske gorice on the south bank of the Mur have a long tradition of viticulture.
The Dorner Winery from the municipality of Mureck, whose vineyards are located on and around the Neuberg / Novi Vrh on the Slovenian side with a view of the lower Mur Valley, is also part of this tradition. The winery works across borders and has farmed its land exclusively organically since 1976. This makes the Dorner Winery one of the oldest organic wineries in Styria.
Powerful white wines such as Ruländer or Weißburgunder and full-bodied reds such as Blauer Burgunder or Cabernet Sauvignon thrive on the loamy, sandy soils.
In addition, the sparkling wines Šampus and Penina, as well as grape and apple juices are produced.
