The leading variety of the wine village of Straden is considered a rarity with a strong character. After all, Pinot Gris proves to be a capricious diva that demands extreme sensitivity from them. "Our most difficult grape variety," many say; the highly selective hand harvest, for example, is a must. The result rewards the effort: wine connoisseurs can look forward to highly individual wines with a strong character, far from the mainstream. The fact that Pinot Gris from Straden makes a name for itself through its expressiveness and elegance is probably due to the right place and the right people who allow it to reach its peak, which is proven time and again by awards.
